Renewals marketing for subscribers
I was
recently contacted by the subscription manager of a large, quoted company. The
manager had taken a professional, profit-based look at its methods and wanted
advice on how to bring lapsed subscribers back.
Looking
through the renewal series it was clear that things were being left far too
late - there were just four letters in the series sent out towards the end of
the subscribers' term.
Nothing
was being done either to extend subscribers when they first came on board, or
to upgrade them to a higher payment.
This is
